Canning College offering scholarship to top students
KUCHING: Each year Canning College offers a range of scholarships awarded on academic merit for the Western Australian Universities’ Foundation Programme ( WAUFP), Year 12, Certificate 4 and Diploma of Commerce.
Malaysian students generally feature strongly in the scholarship awards and top student lists, often winning scholarships for entry into the university.
Based on their 2016 WAUFP results, fifteen Malaysian students have won scholarships into universities in Perth and other Australian cities.
Scholarships offered by Canning College are certainly a great addition to a student’s curriculum vitae as well as reduce the costs of a quality international education experience.
When asked about their experience at Canning, students commented about the high quality of teaching and support services along with friendly administrative staff. Other points included the benefits from small class sizes, interesting subject content and teachers interacting closely with students. Aside from the positive classroom experience, students who live in the student village have the opportunity to learn important life skills – learning to live with others, communicating with people from other cultures, making a new network of friends, self- discipline, self-reliance and independence.
To celebrate 30 years of association with Market Management Services Sdn Bhd ( MMS), Canning College is offering a special scholarship for a suitably qualified student who applies through any one of MMS’ offices in Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Sibu, Miri, Bintulu, Labuan, Sandakan and Tawau.
The winning student is expected to be an exceptional academic achiever and would enrol in Canning’s 2018 WA Universities’ Foundation Programme.
