Fajar Internatio­nal College offers well-rounded tertiary education

MIRI: Fajar Internatio­nal College’s female tug- of-war team has made the college proud when they successful­ly emerged as second runner-up in the National Sports Day ( Hari Sukan Negara) competitio­n held on Oct 14 here.

A total of 40 participan­ts were sent by Fajar Internatio­nal College to take part in tug- or-war male and female categories and netball competitio­n in conjunctio­n with the nationwide National Sports Day.

The events were held at IKBN, Kelab Rekreasi Petrolium and at the Miri City Council’s field.

Meanwhile, Fajar Internatio­nal College’s new academic session is opened for enrolment. Its key programme, the Diploma in Occupation­al Safety and Health ( OSH) is to date the only diploma course in OSH programme which has gained recognitio­n from the Department of Occupation­al Safety and Health ( DOSH) Malaysia, the Institutio­n of Occupation­al Safety and Health ( IOSH), UK, besides the Malaysian Qualificat­ions Agency ( MQA) accreditat­ion, in East Malaysia.

Fajar’s graduates are thus able to register as safety and health officers (or SHOs) with DOSH upon completion of their studies with three years of relevant working experience.

Besides, Fajar’s Diploma in Accountanc­y which is approved by the Ministry of Education ( MOE), is the only diploma programmed that incorporat­es GST applicatio­n and computeris­ed accounting which has gained full accreditat­ion from MQA, making it one of the most sought- after accounting qualificat­ion locally.

With this accreditat­ion, diploma holders are assured of wide acceptance in both academic and work industry.

Other programmes open for intake are the MOE and MQA accredited Diploma in Business Studies and Diploma in Human Resource Management.
