KUCHING: Manulife Insurance Berhad ( MIB) has for the third consecutive year been recognised as one of the ‘ Companies to Work for in Asia 2017 ( Malaysia Chapter)’.
This is another achievement in the company’s bid to drive employment growth and development useful for attracting and retaining talented employees.
The ‘HR Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2017’ was organised by Business Media International to recognise best practices to help set standards and raise the bar for employee engagement and workplace excellence in Asia.
It is produced for the new breed of dynamic, mobile human resource ( HR) professionals taking strategic-levels leadership beyond the traditional confines of HR management functions.
On the achievement of Manulife Malaysia, MIB chief executive officer Mark O’Dell said HR is the backbone of any company which oversees the development of its employees, which is fundamental to the growth of the organisation as a whole.
“Winning the award three years in a row is an achievement and we hope to continuously enhance our systems and practices for the overall well-being and development of our people.
“Well done, Manulife Malaysia,” he said in a statement issued from Kuala Lumpur.
Manulife Malaysia chief HR officer Karen Yap said employee engagement is a workplace approach that provides the opportunity to all members of the organisation to give their best each day.
“With the right practice, we are able to build a culture that continuously encourage employees to be committed to the organisation’s goals and values,” she said.
