Tropicana welcomes Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai as deputy chairman

KUCHING: Property developer, Tropicana Corporation Bhd (Tropicana) and its group of companies announced the appointment of Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai as its non-independent non-executive deputy chairman, who is also the executive chairman of Top Glove Corporation Bhd (Top Glove), effective October 24, 2017.

Prior to joining Tropicana, Wee Chai has snapped up an additional 8.5 per cent stake in Tropicana, making him a substantial shareholder with approximately 10.24 per cent shareholding in the Group. Additionally, Tropicana had on 2 October 2017, announced that Datuk Lim Thean Shiang has been appointed as an independent non- executive director of Tropicana.

Thean Shianf is also an executive director and group chief executive officer of Daya Materials Berhad since 2015. He has over 20 years of experience in property development and construction, which will be an invaluable contribution to the development of the group.
