Students of ‘School in SGH’ celebrate Curriculum Day
KUCHING: School Curriculum Day was celebrated by students at Sekolah Dalam Hospital (SDH) at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) yesterday.
They as well as cancer patients on long term treatment took part in a telematch.
Curriculum Day aims to strengthen the relationship between teachers and students as well as parents in the school.
The Chief Minister’s wi fe Datin Patinggi Dato ‘Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang who is also president of the Association of Wives of Sarawak Ministers, Assistant Ministers and State Legislative Assembly Members ( Sabati) gave away prizes and donations to students competing
In fact, the school also provides formal and structured continuing education in a conducive environment for hospitalised pupils where teachers come over to the ward if the students cannot make it to class. Taha Bol, SDH school supervisor

According to SDH school supervi s or Taha Bol , the objectives of the school at SGH is to ensure education is accessible to all children without restrictions and circumstances.
“I n fact , the school a lso provides formal and structured cont inuing educat ion in a conducive environment for hospital i sed pupi l s where teachers come over to the ward if the students cannot make it to class,” Taha said.
He urged corporate bodies a n d n o n - g o v e r nme n t a l organisations ( NGOs) to donate to the school.
Later Juma’ani and her entourage visited the Emergency and Trauma Department and the children’s playground which Sabati donated in 2005.
