The QS Asia Ranking 2018 uses the same World Universities Ranking performance indicators but with recalibrated weightings that reflect Asian priorities.
MSU very recently also received the double distinctions of Excellence in Quality International Education and Outstanding Contribution to International Education from the UK accreditation body Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (Asic).
The university was also named the Most Entrepreneurial Private University 2016 by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and accorded Best Brand in Education 2016 by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation.
