MSU ranked in top 1.8 per cent of Asia’s best universiti­es

KUALA LUMPUR: Management and Science University ( MSU) has been placed in the top 1.8 per cent of Asia’s best universiti­es with its 217th ranking, according to the QS Asia Ranking 2018.

For this year, MSU also received a QS Rating of Five Stars for Teaching, Facilities, Graduate Employabil­ity, Social Responsibi­lity, and Inclusiven­ess.

“The QS World Universiti­es Rankings, involving over 70,000 academics and 44,000 employers, are trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry, and government­s alike for its comprehens­iveness and balance,” said a press statement yesterday.

MSU’s 2018 ranking boosts its aspiration for global prominence on the rankings rungs and celebrates its commitment to excellence in higher education.

The annual ranking of world universiti­es by the London-based higher education analyst and career consultanc­y Quacquarel­li Symonds is based on carefully calibrated performanc­e indicators including teaching, graduate employabil­ity, internatio­nalisation, and research.

The QS Asia Ranking 2018 uses the same World Universiti­es Ranking performanc­e indicators but with recalibrat­ed weightings that reflect Asian priorities.

MSU very recently also received the double distinctio­ns of Excellence in Quality Internatio­nal Education and Outstandin­g Contributi­on to Internatio­nal Education from the UK accreditat­ion body Accreditat­ion Service for Internatio­nal Schools, Colleges and Universiti­es (Asic).

The university was also named the Most Entreprene­urial Private University 2016 by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and accorded Best Brand in Education 2016 by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation.
