Unimas students, staff take part in community policing seminar
KOTA SAMARAHAN: About 160 post-graduate and undergraduate students as well as academic staff of the Faculty of Social Science at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak ( Unimas) took part in a community policing seminar on Wednesday.
Sarawak Community Policing Association, in a statement yesterday, said the seminar had Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department Sarawak chief SAC Shafie Ismail as a speaker, where he talked about crime prevention strategies, crime index, and various strategies employed by the police to tackle crime.

Lau is currently pursuing his PhD at the Faculty of Social Science, in Unimas.
Unimas Faculty of Social Science deputy dean Dr Arnold Puyot, in his welcoming speech, extended his appreciation to the Royal Malaysia Police and the Sarawak Community Policing Association for sharing with the students and academic staff on how the Unimas community could work with the police in crime prevention.
