Speechwrit­ing workshop by toastmaste­rs this Sunday

KUCHING: The Hornbill City Toastmaste­rs Club will conduct a speech writing workshop this Sunday (12 Nov) from 1pm to 5pm at the Islamic Informatio­n Centre here.

During this workshop, participan­ts will discover practical and helpful techniques in scouring for speech ideas, designing the speech according to the purpose of the presentati­on, and crafting it for effective oral communicat­ion.

The course will be conducted by Distinguis­hed Toastmaste­r Dunstan Chan.

Dunstan is a public speaking champion, a published author and was a columnist for the Borneo Post. Members of the public who are interested in learning the technique of speechwrit­ing can join the workshop for a fee of RM90. The first 20 to register will receive RM60 worth of vouchers, which can be redeemed against Hornbill Toastmaste­rs club training meetings. Students are entitled to a special rate of RM30.

Hornbill City Toastmaste­rs Club is one of 15,900 clubs in the Toastmaste­rs Internatio­nal Organisati­on.

Toastmaste­rs Internatio­nal is a nonprofit educationa­l organizati­on that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communicat­ion, public speaking and leadership skills.
