Kenneth Ma brushes off hints he enjoys kissing Mandy Wong in series
HONG KONG: An under- siege actor Kenneth Ma, confronted with hints that he enjoys kissing co- star Mandy Wong in The Exorcist’s Meter, has vehemently denied it.
Blurted Kenneth in his typical clueless style: “Of course not. Hugo Wong is the lucky one because he gets to film a passionate kissing scene with Mandy.”
Clearly in the mood for jesting, Mandy retorted: “Hugo and I kiss until we fall down on the ground but I kissed Kenneth five times.”
As to whether his girlfriend, actress Jacqueline Wong, is getting jealous, a blushing Kenneth shot back: “No. We are entertainers and she is busy with work and watches half an episode only. She compliments that it is good though.”
Kenneth is currently busy promoting the series with costars Mandy and Moon Lau.
On his chances of winning TVB’s Best Actor award this year, Kenneth said: “I feel very happy and it is difficult to act my role character as I usually look cool. Usually I do not behave this way.” On a recent episode where Kenneth touches Moon’s breast and she slaps him, Kenneth joked that he enjoyed filming that scene. Joked Kenneth: “Of course! This is every man’s dream!” Clarified an unamused Moon: “That’s not the entire truth. At first, Kenneth told me not to add protective padding. But right before we were to start filming the scene, he told me to add the protective padding! He said it’s better if I did. In the end, I ended up using it. But it didn’t really matter, because I wore a thick sweater. He wouldn’t be able to feel anything anyway!”
