BEM on the Rock to hold two-day annual ‘Christmas for All’ this weekend, promises exciting activities

MIRI: ‘Christmas for All’ which will be held from Nov 18 to 19 promises to be an exciting event for members of the public.

Themed ‘ Oh Come, Let Us Adore HIM’, the event organised by Borneo Evangelica­l Mission ( BEM) On the Rock will feature a line-up of fun-filled programmes to be held at the church building located near Miri Bypass Road, Eastwood Valley Industrial Estate here.

BEM on the Rock administra­tive executive Petrus Lasong told The Borneo Post yesterday that more than 3, 000 people from all walks of life are expected to attend the two- day annual event.

“The primary objective of this event is to spread the Christmas spirit, especially among church members as well as to strengthen relationsh­ips between Christians and fellow Mirians regardless of racial or religious background­s,” he said.

Petrus pointed out that the event would commence with a Christmas concert on Nov 18 with various dances, acting and singing performanc­es to further promote the holiday spirit.

“We will continue with a praise and worship session on Sunday at 11am. The highlight of the event this year is the Christmas open house on Sunday at 1pm,” he said.

State Legislativ­e Assembly Deputy Speaker and Mulu assemblyma­n Datuk Gerawat Gala is expected to officiate at the ceremony.

“The church will also present their contributi­on in financial aid to the Miri Associatio­n of Parents with Special Children ( Pibakis) at the event,” he added. For more informatio­n contact the church at 085- 437500 or Petrus at 010-7728084.
