Over 500 runners expected at UCTS Run 2017 on Dec 10

SIBU: University College of Technology Sarawak ( UCTS) is expecting over 500 runners for its UCTS Run 2017 on Dec 10, with flag- off slated for 6.30am.

“The closing date for registration is on Nov 24 at 5pm. The run is divided into three categories, namely Category A ( Men’s Open – 10KM), Category B ( Women’s Open-10KM) and Category C (Fun Run – 5KM),” UCTS stated in a press statement.

The entry fee for the run is RM50 per person for all categories and the first 600 registrants will receive a free T- Shirt. Winners will take home medals and certificates.

For categories A and B, the champion will bag RM500, while first runner-up will receive RM300 and second runner-up, RM200.

Those in the fourth to 15th placings will take home RM50 each. In Category C, the champion will walk home with RM150, while first and second runnersup will receive RM100 and RM50 respectively.

The first 600 finishers will each receive a medal.

Back for its fourth year, UCTS Run 2017 aims to promote a healthier lifestyle amongst Sibu folk and to raise funds for UCTS students’ welfare.
