Golden girl eyeing more Sukma glory
KUCHING: Af ter striking gold for Malaysia on the first day of the 18th Asian Schools Tenpin Bowling Championships at Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa on Monday, Gillian Lim was looking forward to winning more medal s for Malaysia Team A in the remaining of her events - Girls Doubles, Team and Masters.
“I wil l play with the same style that I did yesterday, that is enjoy my game and not think of anything else and not give myself any pressure,” said the 18-yearold Miri lass who is now doing her Degree in Communication Arts at Segi College Kuching.
“At first I did not expect anything during my game, I just enjoyed my game because the lane was tough and I just put my full concentration on the lanes.
“It was amazing that I could really bowl well and win it. It was unexpected,” said the Sarawak

Gillian won a gold medal in the team event and a silver medal in the Masters at Sukma XVIII also at Megalanes Sarawak last year.
She won the Girls Open gold in the Sabah Leg of the SportexcelNSC-Milo MTBC Junior Circuit and the bronze in the Sarawak Leg.
“I am hoping to win in the Grand Prix Finals of the Sportexcel- NSC- Milo National Junior Circuit at Sunway Megalanes next month to earn the ticket to the national youth team,” added Gillian who is also eyeing to do well in Sukma XIX in Perak next year.
