Executive College students learn about self-devt at camp

KUCHING: Executive College ( EC) Department of Diploma in Business Administra­tion programme and Bachelor of Business Administra­tion ( Hons) programme recently conducted a dynamic Self-Developmen­t Camp 2017at Sumiran Eco Camp, Rantau Panjang about 30 minutes’ drive from Kuching City.

The camp was facilitate­d by the Business Department’s experience­d lecturers Valerie Leong, Chai Chin Siew, Tan Lee Lee, Esther Voon, Victor Voon and Emerline Carol, and trainers from Sumiran Eco Camp.

Executive College believes that it is important to equip students with leadership and communicat­ion skills to prepare them for today’s workforce.

The lecturers are passionate about creating fun and challengin­g learning experience­s for the students to acquire skills and knowledge necessary to work in the industry.

Students at the camp get to learn and experience new skills and knowledge that classrooms may not provide, especially the importance of communicat­ion and leadership skills.

Overall, the camp was tiring but everyone had the opportunit­y to have fun and learn from one another.

Students enjoyed themselves and had a positive relationsh­ip with course mates and lecturers. It was meaningful for everyone involved.

EC plans to organise more educationa­l and fun camps like this to give students hands- on knowledge and experience in their field of studies.

Students of Executive College are given priority to jobs with KTS Group of Companies.
