SOS Kuching to hold mass adoption for over 50 pets

-

KUCHING: Save Our Strays Kuching (SOS Kuching) will hold a large scale pet adoption event for over 50 dogs and cats at Haus Kuching on Saturday from 2pm to 9pm and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

The homeless dogs were rescued during the rabies outbreak and put under observation as well as cared for by SOS Kuching volunteers at various rescue sites.

All of them have been vaccinated and confirmed rabies-free and healthy.

“Being able to rescue these 100 over dogs was a very important step. SOS Kuching fully believes in giving respect to all animal life, whether strays or family pets,” SOS Kuching representative Kitty Chin told The Borneo Post.

“But rescue is only part of our mission. We make it a point to find good loving homes after we ensure that our rescues are healthy and disease- free. This is where we need support from the community of Kuching. This is why we want to encourage the public to have a new perspective towards being responsible pet owners.”

She pointed out it has been proven that pets add meaning to life and improve the health of their owners. There will also be a neutering and grooming discount voucher giveaway, registration of community feeders, as well as charity mini market for arts and crafts, food and beverage, pet merchandise and more.

Haus Kuching is located at Jalan Capital Garden.
