18 boys, 18 girls selected for hockey camp

KUCHING: The Sarawak Sports Corporatio­n ( SSC) and Sarawak State Sports Council ( MSNS) have selected 18 boys and 18 girls for a training camp early next year.

State head coach C Sivasubram­aniam said yesterday that the 36 were selected based on their performanc­e in the recent Inter- Centre of Developmen­t for Hockey tournament held at the Sarawak Hockey Stadium.

After the camp they will be absorbed into Sukma back-up and age- group squads, he added.

The boys are Bronnovick Sabuir, Ralph Davis Tomi , Christophe­r Miau, Remdi Gudong, Arvino Saeu, Maxclean Julian Philip Lisan, Rioma Utok ( SMK Penrissen No 1); Mohammad Azzmi Taip, Hazim Aziman Roslan, Muhd Amirul Rahim, Mohamad Zhairul Ridham Darmohan, Muhamad Ikmal Jimi ( SMK Kabong); Andrewson Felix ( SMK Serian); Hafizan Jumat, Mohd Mustaqim Sebi (SMK Bako); Soljaer Henry (SMK Tebakang); Bryan Anderson Ajis and Christophe­r Ricky Jack Tomas ( SMK Bau).

Selected girls are Lady Annie Gideon, Veronicca Venessia Desmond Mikely, Christine Jane Gerard Jaimin, Nurul Ain Abdullah, Nurain Azreen Abdullah Mohd Azri and Veronica Biku Edwin Klabu from SMK St Columba Miri; Odelia Tamara Marco, Marion Jarel, Lorita Laura Donny, Jessica Lambert Panny, Amelia Solo, Vierlinkin­o Blaise Tze and Monica Vatria Brod from SMK Bau; Augustina Anjhung, Nikevictor­ya Ping Nikevester, Felicity Candy Zaini, Norshila Sunta Ambrose Igoh from SMK Sebauh, Bintulu; and Siti Nurshahfiq­a Abdullah from SMK Spaoh, Betong.
