Associatio­n presents education incentives to 33 high achievers

KAPIT: Kapit Kwang Tung Associatio­n presented education incentives to 33 students who excelled in their studies on Wednesday.

Ambrose Abong Bugek – Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Developmen­t Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi’s special affairs officer – presented the incentives.

“Elected representa­tives allocate funding based on requests and priority. Before, the last state election on May 7, 2016, it was Datuk Nanta alone who supported the Chinese associatio­ns,” he said.

“But now you see the difference­s because now we have two elected representa­tives from Barisan Nasional to serve us. Now both Datuk Nanta and ( Bukit Goram assemblyma­n) Jefferson Jamit Unyat when they were invited to attend the function, they allocate funds.

“This is the beauty of supporting and voting for BN Nasional) candidates.”

Associatio­n chairman Kong Sien Hua said the associatio­n received an allocation of RM30,000 for its children’s education fund and RM10,000 for its activities ( Barisan from Nanta this year.

“Datuk Nanta has always taken care of our associatio­n. This year alone, RM40,000 to support our activities. When people help us, we must show our thanks and gratitude.

“We thank him through our votes for him to ensure a big majority. Let us during the campaign period organise ourselves to inform our family members and relatives to vote for Datuk Nanta,” he said in his speech.
