KUCHING: Muhd Ariff Fadhlin Suffian has attributed his success in the Pelaporan Pentaksiran Sekolah Rendah ( PPSR) to studying early in the morning and never forgetting to pray.

The SK Green Road pupil, who was accompanied by his mother Rosilawati Abdul Kadir to collect his PPSR results yesterday, said he also did all his homework.

“Other than that, I would give all my attention to the classes and teachers plus ask questions often if I didn’t understand,” he said.

Muhd Ariff, who was active in the Youth Cadets, Cyber Club and Futsal Club, wants to continue his studies at the Mara Junior Science College ( MRSM).

Fellow pupil Azrin Airin Daud said her UPSR results will motivate her to work harder in future.

“I will do my revision and this result will be a motivator to study harder in the future,” she said.

On Tuesday, education directorgeneral Datuk Dr Amin Senin had said PPSR would not just focus on the number of A’s obtained in UPSR.

“This is like a report card, where they will receive four results and see the potential and performance of their children,” he told a press conference in Putrajaya. He emphasised that pupils’ achievements would be assessed in a holistic manner.
