Modern ML Home Mart to serve every need of Samarahan residents

KOTA SAMARAHAN: ML Home Mart at Jalan Dato Mohd Musa, located just opposite Wisma Salcra here is now open for business.

Owned by Min Liong Hardware Sdn Bhd, the outlet is also the company’s third and latest branch.

According to Min Liong Hardware Sdn Bhd managing director Vincent Chai, the modern living home market concept is common in countries such as Australia and Thailand.

“It is like a supermarke­t which provides convenient shopping for all home furnishing items, home decoration items and home wares. All items are nicely categorise­d and displayed and we have a wide range of products including hardware, paints, houseware, kitchen appliances, lighting, flooring, hand tools, power tools, electrical appliances, bathroom accessorie­s, home furnishing, decoration and even gardening items. Everything our customers need is under one roof here,” he added.

In her speech, Rubiah commented that ML Home is a beautiful addition to the Kota Samarahan as it would become a landmark for the area too.

“Min Liong Hardware Sdn Bhd was establishe­d in year 2000 and is known to residents of Samarahan area to be suppliers of hardware and building materials only.

In view of the current and rapid developmen­t of Kota Samarahan and its increasing population, the company decided to venture into a new business by establishi­ng the very first modern home mart in Kota Samarahan.

During the ceremony Rubiah also witnessed Min Liong Hardware Sdn Bhd donate RM20,000 to SJK Chung Hua Jernang for the school’s new building project.

Also present during the ceremony were acting Samarahan District Officer Rais Ahmat, Samarahan District Police Headquarte­rs chief DSP Lee Chung Chern, Min Liong Hardware Sdn Bhd director Wilson Chai, Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) secretary-general Jonathan Chai Voon Tok and others.
