Flights to and from KLIA, klia2 continue to be affected by Mount Agung in Bali

KUALA LUMPUR: Volcanic activity involving Mount Agung in Bali, Indonesia continues to affect flights to and from the Kuala Lumpur Internatio­nal Airport ( KLIA) and klia2.

In a statement, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd ( MAHB) said the list of cancelled flights departing KLIA yesterday were Malaysia Airlines MH715, MH851, MH853, Malindo Air OD324, OD306, OD308 and OD157, while f lights arriving in KLIA were MH714, MH850, MH852, OD325, OD305, OD307, as well as Batik Air ID6016. AirAsia cancelled 14 of its flights flying to and from klia2 , namely AK309, AK377, AK307, QZ511. QZ550, QZ556, QZ554, AK308, AK376, AK306, QZ551, QZ557 and QZ555.

In a separate statement, the budget airline said all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights to and from Bali and Lombok today would remain cancelled until further notice.

“Affected guests will be notified of their flight status via email and SMS. AirAsia strongly encourages all guests to update their contact details at airasia. com to ensure they are notified of any updates to their flights,” it added.

AirAsia said guests whose flights were cancelled can either choose to move their f light to a new travel time on the same route within 30 calendar days from the original flight time without additional cost and subject to seat availabili­ty or retain the value of their fare in a credit account for future travels, redeemable within 90 calendar days from the date of issuance. — Bernama
