-

KUCHING: The 2nd Kuching Company Boys’ Brigade in Malaysia together with Trinity Methodist Church organised a community project to collect and distribute gifts to the less fortunate regardless of race or religion in the spirit of Christmas.

In response to the ‘Children’s Wish List’, a team of Lodge National Primary School teachers, under the leadership of Raymond Ho, managed to collect donations of school bags and stationery from Primary One to Primary Six pupils of the school.

The gifts were carefully wrapped and attached with the recipients’ names and wish items.

The Boys’ Brigade submitted a total of 163 items on a wish list to Lodge National Primary School but due to the overwhelming response from the generous pupils, the school managed to collect more.

A simple handover ceremony was held on Nov17 at Lodge National Primary School, which saw Lodge Group of School’s CEO Thomas Huo and principal of Lodge National Primary School Chong Kian Tze presenting the gifts to Rev Poh Chin Sing and Irene Ting of Trinity Methodist Church.

Also present were teachers and some pupils of the school.
