Find affordable study pathways at CT Education Fair this Friday

MIRI: Many kinds of scholarshi­ps and bursaries will be offered at CT Education Fair this Friday (1 Dec) at Imperial Palace Hotel from 1pm- 5pm.

The education fair is especially organised for school leavers who have completed SPM, STPM, O Level and UEC examinatio­ns. Admission is free.

A total of 13 institutio­ns from Malaysia and Australia will be at the education fair: Curtin University Malaysia, UCSI University, HELP University College, SEGi College Sarawak, INTI Internatio­nal University College, SEGi University College, Swinburne University of Technology, Taylor’s University, Taylor’s College, First City University College, Asia Pacific University of Technology (APU), Raffles College of Higher Education as well as JMC Academy from Australia.

There will also be an experience­d counsellor, Anthony Lim with 25 years of experience in the industry at the general booth to give advice on further studies in Australia.

Curtin University Malaysia is accepting early applicatio­ns for the Feb 20 admission for undergradu­ate studies and March 20 intakes for foundation studies in Engineerin­g and Science or Foundation in Commerce & Arts.

Ranked 5- Stars in facilities by QS Top Universiti­es Rankings, Curtin Malaysia is offering SPM High Achievers Scholarshi­p to students with 7As and above based on actual SPM results. For students with good Pre-U results, they can opt for scholarshi­ps with quantum of 25 per cent, 50 per cent and 100 per cent towards the first year of study.

For 2018 intake, the university is giving out RM500 tuition fee rebate for early enrolment.

INTI Internatio­nal University and Colleges is offering an automatic 30 per cent bursary for their foundation programmes, and early bird discount up to RM1,200 for early enrolment to the university. All Bumiputera students are also eligible for the Chairman Award discount of 20 per cent. Taylor’s University is offering 100 full scholarshi­ps to outstandin­g students based on their academic excellence, talent in music, drama, sports, extra- curricular involvemen­t and leadership skills for 2018 intakes.

Swinburne University of Technology will waive its applicatio­n fee at the education fair.

In addition, Asia Pacific University of Technology offers 15 per cent East Malaysia Community scholarshi­p for Sarawakian and Sabahan students.

INTI Internatio­nal University College also offers EDU-Assist tuition fee waivers up to 30 per cent for low income families.

Meanwhile SEGi College Sarawak offers air tickets to outstation students.
