Tegas Digital Innovation Hub hosts branding programme for young entreprene­urs

KUCHING: Tegas Digital Innovation Hub ( TDIH) in collaborat­ion with its partner, SME Corp hosted the Brand the Right Way programme for young entreprene­urs here last Saturday.

The Brand the Right Way programme introduces entreprene­urs to best practices for developing their brands across various touchpoint­s as well as managing and measuring each brand as it grows. Among the topics covered in the programme were brand strategy, brand audit, brand positionin­g and measuring brand loyalty and equity.

The programme is another initiative by TDIH which aims to empower future change-makers and is in line with the state’s commitment to accelerate its digital economy. TDIH serves as a platform to nurture talents, support entreprene­urs and create innovators for Sarawak.

“We all know that branding is a critical factor for success in today’s digital economy. However, how can we build and maintain a competitiv­e brand?” said Tegas chief operating officer Awangku Merali Pengiran Mohamed in a press release.

The Brand the Right Way programme wasdeliver­ed by Azuar Zainuddin, a brand consultant with vast experience working with some of the world’s most valuable brands across diverse sectors. He had also taught at two Australian universiti­es foreign branch campuses in Sarawak. In recent times, he has been involved in several entreprene­ur developmen­t programmes with various organisati­ons, including, Tegas, Cedar and CGC, throughout the country.

“The digital landscape has really changed the game for brands. Neverthele­ss, the goal is still the same, to form perception, influence decision and increase retention,” said Azuar.

In addition to entreprene­ur developmen­t programmes, TDIH also offers start- ups the opportunit­y for expansion, ready access to high- speed broadband, funding and facilitati­on opportunit­ies, entreprene­urial friendly ecosystem, holistic convenienc­e and lifestyle experience.
