PBB Sebuyau supports Abg Johari as chief minister, PBB president

KUCHING: A few resolution­s were passed by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Sebuyau branch at its annual general meeting (AGM).

Among them was to support Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg as chief minister and PBB president.

According to PBB Sebuyau branch chairman Datuk Julaihi Narawi, another resolution was to urge Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas to be deputy presidents of the party.

Both are acting deputy presidents – Awang Tengah (Bumiputera) and Uggah (Pesaka).

Speaking at the branch’s AGM at Grand Dormani Rajah Court Hotel here, Julaihi urged branch members to maintain unity and stability.

“As party members at branch level, we must be united and must think ourselves as part of PBB’s big family.

“We must contribute towards the strength of PBB which is the lynchpin of the government,” he pointed out.

He also urged party branch members to be developmen­toriented and bring changes.

Julaihi, who is Assistant Minister of Coastal Road, thanked the government for building the coastal road to link the people in coastal areas where PBB has a strong base.

Awang Tengah, who is Minister of Industrial and Entreprene­ur Developmen­t, officiated at the event.
