KUCHING: For many years Ireland is known in Malaysia as the best overseas destination for pursuing medical and dental careers.

This is attested by many medical professionals working in Malaysia, who completed their undergraduate and post graduate studies in Ireland over the past 75 years.

The Irish Universities Medical Consortium ( IUMC) in their press statement yesterday said it is the one source for those interested in studying medical sciences in Ireland.

IUMC’s office in Kuala Lumpur serves as the single point of contact for Malaysia and the wider Asean region.

Students or parents interested to know more about the four universities that make up IUMC are encouraged to contact the office directly.

IUMC represents the medical schools of the National University of Ireland, Galway ( NUIG), Trinity College Dublin ( TCD), University College Cork ( UCC) and University College Dublin ( UCD)

UCD graduates are renowned for their excellence, creativity, critical thinking, communication, innovation and leadership qualities.
