Ex-Highians urged to attend 45th anniversary dinner
KUCHING: The Ex-Highians’ Association Kuching of Kuching High School will be hosting an annual dinner at Imperial Hall, Crown Square here on Jan 13 next year.
The organising committee is calling on all former Kuching High School students to attend the dinner to celebrate the association’s 45th anniversary.
Organising chairperson Maria Lee said the annual dinner serves as a great opportunity for all former principals, teachers and students to converge under one roof to reminisce over fond memories of their school days.
“This also serves as a networking prospect for alumni at different levels to get to know one another,” Maria said in a statement yesterday.
The committee is targeting 50 tables at RM800 per table for the dinner this year.
Ex-Highians’ Association Kuching chairperson Pauline Gan Guet Beng said construction of the secondary school’s new gate called ‘Gate of Alumni’ commenced last weekend.
“However, funds for the construction is far behind target.
“We hope ex-Highians and the public will contribute to help completion of this project to benefit students.”
