Earlier, Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shin officiated at the opening of the franchise café.
Lee who is also Senadin assemblyman gave his thumbs-up to the first of such global franchise teahouse chain in the city.
“As a resort city, Miri indeed needs more eatery and beverage outlets not only for the local but also a good hang- out place for the visitors.” Thus, he hoped the operators continue to give their commitments in keeping their outlet clean particularly in the aspect of food preparation and its toilet.
“When the visitors come to the city, eatery and beverage outlets are a must place patronised by them. In view of that, it is important for the operators to keep their outlets clean all the time. Otherwise, a small cleanliness issue particularly the washroom will tarnish the good image of the outlet.”
