Getting creative with balloons at Christmas Toy Factory

KUCHING: Boulevard Shopping Mall here will put a spin to its Christmas decoration­s by setting up a Christmas Toy Factory at the mall’s ground floor atrium (new wing) from tomorrow ( Dec 9) to Christmas Day ( Dec 25).

Admission to the Christmas Toy Factory is RM5 per person with part of proceeds to be donated to the CHKMUS-MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation.

Held in collaborat­ion with DeJackie Inspiratio­ns, the Christmas Toy Factory will feature a 19- foot giant transparen­t globe for visitors to enter to take photograph­s with a Christmas tree made entirely from balloons.

There will be more photo opportunit­ies from the many huge Christmas balloon sculptures surroundin­g the Christmas Toy Factory. Visitors can participat­e in the ‘Count Me Right’ contest where they guess the number of balloons filling up a giant teddy bear called ‘ BeRNIE’ and send their answers – accompanie­d by a snapped photograph of their ticket number – to Boulevard Shopping Mall’s Facebook page to win attractive prizes.

The opening of the Christmas Toy Factory will be held at 1pm tomorrow followed by the Miss Tiny Tot Boulevard Contest 2017 where 24 finalists, aged four to five, will display their talent inside the Toy Factory, open to the public at 7pm after the contest.

Boulevard Shopping Mall has arranged for Siong Tau Methodist Church and Ching Kwong Methodist Church for Christmas carolling from 7pm to 8pm on Dec 16 and 24.
