MIRI: The huge turnout for this year’s Borneo Honda Autofest, with the participation of Honda automobile enthusiasts both near and far, is evidence that the city has what it takes to become a key destination for automotive events.
Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting said the event is a unique platform for automotive enthusiasts and that the decision of the organisers to hold the event here is justified.

Meanwhile, organising chairman Affi zan Mattarsat said the event was aimed at fostering team spirit amongst them.
“Borneo Honda Autofest is to unite all Honda clubs and automobile enthusiasts across Borneo. It is also to prevent youths from engaging in illegal activities, including illegal racing. In addition, it is also to promote Miri as a motoring city,” he said.
