MIRI: Miri Hainan Association will hold its annual general meeting at its activity centre on Jan 1 beginning 10.30am.

According to its secretary Tan Chew Yue, the association will give out incentives to children of members who achieved outstanding performances in their academic studies after the meeting.

She said the incentives will be given to all excellent students in Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary (Lower and Upper) and those who achieved outstanding results in the UPSR, PT3, SPM and STPM examinations.

“The incentive is an important part of our annual activities, as it gives encouragement to these children to continue to work hard for their academic excellence.”

She reminded members who have yet to register their children for the incentive to do so, by submitting photocopies of their children’s report card and result transcript (for public examination) before 12pm on Dec 30.“Incentive recipients will have to dress in decent and appropriate attire and they must arrive at the centre by 10.30am to prepare for the presentation ceremony,” said Tan in a press release.

Meanwhile, all members who have any proposal for discussion at the annual general meeting are reminded to submit their proposal on Dec 30 before 12pm, to enable the secretary to prepare the agenda for the AGM.
