Emart gives away over RM300,000 in 12th anniversary lucky draw prizes
KUCHING: Emart is wrapping up the year by giving away prizes worth more than RM300,000 under its 12th anniversary lucky draw campaign.
Yesterday, four ‘ Lucky Draw 1’ finalists were brought to the Batu Kawah chain, where they were required to ‘spin the wheel’ to determine their prizes.
Norassuandi Ali, 39, a shopper at Emart Matang brought home the grand prize – a brand new Honda HR-V 1.8L S – after three attempts at the wheel.
“I am very happy and delighted to have won the grand prize,” Norassuandi, who is a car salesman, told The Borneo Post after the prize presentation ceremony, performed by Emart branch manager Jee Wan Kwang.
Norassuandi disclosed that he would spend at least RM200 every time he shops at Emart Matang with his wife and three children.
Chai Moi, a shopper from Emart Batu Kawa, drove home a Perodua Alza which was the first prize.
The second prize, a Perodua Axia, was won by Nani Abu who is a shopper from Emart Tudan, while Zamzuri Saban from Emart Riam received the third prize, a Yamaha YZF R25.
Sixteen finalists from ‘ Lucky Draw 1’ also pocketed RM500 cash voucher each as consolation prize.
The Emart’s 12th anniversary lucky draw campaign, which ran from Sept 1 to Nov 30 this year, received 997,000 entries from shoppers at its Batu Kawah, Matang, Sukma Ria, Demak Laut, Tudan, Riam and Batu Niah outlets.
Each shopper was eligible for the draw after having spent at least RM100 in a single receipt. Participants would only need to spend at least RM1 in a single receipt to be eligible for the ‘Lucky Draw 2’ campaign.
Each of the 10 winners from every Emart outlet was presented with a RM100 cash voucher every week for ‘Lucky Draw 2’.
