Limkokwing University hosts Commonweal­th Youth Summit

CYBERJAYA: Limkokwing University is proud to be the Gold Sponsor and venue host for the Commonweal­th Youth Summit, hosted by Malaysia for the first time, that took place from Nov 4- 5 this year.

Becoming the host of the Commonweal­th Youth Summit is in line with Limkokwing University’s goal to empower youth across the world with its global presence across Africa, Europe and Asia continents.

The two- day event at Limkokwing University’s Cyberjaya campus was attended by delegates from 54 countries who discussed various issues related to youth developmen­t and a session by Limkokwing University about the developmen­t of youth creativity against industry expectatio­ns.

In addition, deputy secretary general for Political Affairs for the Commonweal­th of Nations, Dr Josephine Ojiambo, attended the gala dinner on Nov 4 at Limkokwing University.

At the event, Limkokwing University’s founder and president, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Limkokwing was bestowed with the Commonweal­th Champions Awards for uniting youth from 54 countries together through education.

Lim is the eighth recipient of the awards in its history.

Limkokwing University’s vice-president of IT, Systems and Integratio­ns, Dato’ Sri Timothy Lim, was honoured with Commonweal­th Leadership for Youth Empowermen­t on Nov 5 while Dato’ Tiffanee Lim, vice president, Brand, Creativity, and Talent Developmen­t of Limkokwing University led a discussion in developing talents across Commonweal­th countries.
