PBB Telang Usan asked to contact all members

-

MIRI: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ( PBB) Telang Usan has been called on to reach out to all members in the constituency.

Telang Usan assemblyman and PBB Telang Usan chairman Dennis Ngau said this is part of the branch’s efforts in preparation for the next parliamentary election.

“For Telang Usan, we have more than 5,000 members and about 10,000 voters, which means our chances of winning are high. Nonetheless, more efforts will have to be put in, especially from the grassroots, to do our best to serve the people and get in touch with the members,” he said when met here recently.

Telang Usan comes under the Baram parliamentary seat.

Dennis pointed out that the Barisan Nasional’s ( BN) election machinery is ready and merely waiting to be activated.

“Our Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg has already said that Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu Sarawak and Barisan Nasional as a whole are ready for the coming election any time.

“Same thing goes for Telang Usan because we have been carrying out our responsibilities and consistently serving the people all this while from the start, and not only when the election time comes,” he said.

Dennis stressed as the area’s elected representative, his priority has always been to serve the people.

“We are confident because we know we have been doing our part and have garnered the people’s trust all the while we have been on the ground,” he said.

Dennis added PBB Telang Usan would continue to work with the other BN component parties to ensure the ruling coalition retains the seat.

Anyi Ngau is the Baram Member of Parliament.

Also under the constituency are the state seats of Marudi and Mulu, which are also held by the BN.
