Chamber to hold CNY Lucky Run 2018

-

MIRI: The Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold the CNY Lucky Run 2018 on Feb 10 at the Gong Xi Bazaar starting 6.30pm.

Chamber chairman Lee Khoi Yun told a press conference the charity run, which would be held on the first day of the bazaar, is targeting at least 1,000 runners.

“The CNY Gong Xi Bazaar is one of the important events in Miri’s calendar of events. With the charity run, we wanted to make it extra special. Not only will you be doing a healthy activity before the binge-eating during the festive season, we are doing a good deed to help those in need,” said Lee.

Ordinary registration is RM65 per adult or child, while the special group package for three or more runners is RM60 each.

“This discount strategy is hoping to encourage more people to participate in the meaningful event,” said Lee.

RM20 from each entry fee will go to the Miri Kidney Dialysis Centre.

Registration forms are available from Share-Tea (Boulevard Commercial Centre) and the chamber’s office.

There will also be a lucky draw after the run with 50 angpows containing RM588, RM388, RM288, RM188, RM58 or RM28 as prizes.

The closing date for registration is Jan 8 next year.
