KUCHING: Professional and amateur photographers had a field day polishing their skills during a pre- Christmas photoshoot conducted by Frederick Demong Tindin Photography last Friday.

The participants chose the compound around Basaga Restaurant as the location for the session that involved local models, Marzella Sigai and Eka Mohd Amit.

Marzella is Miss Malaysia Earth 2017’s subsidiary Miss Sarawak Earth Fire 2017 & Miss Tropical Beauty Malaysia 2017 titleholder, while Eka is a freelance model. They both were dressed as Santarinas to further emphasise the Christmas mood.

Frederick Demong Tindin, Erwin Nyanggau and Griffin Achil, as well as The Borneo Post photographers were among those taking part in the session.

“Initially, we wanted to hold it at Kuching Waterfront but since we’re not sure of the weather pattern, we changed the venue to Basaga at Jalan Tabuan,” said Demong.

He said the objectives of the session were to enliven the Christmas season further, as well as to promote racial harmony in showing that all races, despite the cultural and religious differences, could come together and celebrate festivities with one another.

“Moreover, it is also to promote local modelling talents,” he said, referring to Marzella and Eka Mohd.
