JAKARTA: Malaysian- owned cosmetics and beauty brand, Airish London, has opened a branch in Jakarta, targeting daily sales of more than 50 million rupiah ( RM15,000).

Airish London president, Datuk Mohd Aizuddin Ghazali, said the company’s branch here also offered new services, namely beauty spa treatments including manicure, pedicure and makeup services, besides cosmetics and skincare products.

He said the Jakarta branch opened its doors for business on Nov 11, 2017, achieving sales worth more than 20 million rupiah (RM6,000) per day, adding that the branch would also be offering 50 per cent discount to Malaysians during the 2018 Asian Games, to be held in Jakarta in August.

The Jakarta branch was launched by Rural and Regional Development Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob yesterday.

Based in Brick Lane, London, England, Airish London began operating back in 2014, and had opened its Malaysian branch in Kuala Lumpur in 2016.

“We are planning to open new branches in Bandung, Bali and Medan, and are also targeting to open outlets in Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines and Vietnam in 2019,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said Airish London’s success in penetrating the Indonesian market was something to be proud of considering the stiff competition in the beauty products industry in the republic.

“Airish London’s efforts should be set as an example to Malaysian companies in exploring the Indonesian market,” he added. — Bernama
