My Kafe draws inspiration from traditional Malay and western cuisines
MIRI: My Kafe which serves an array of distinctive Malay and western culinary delights is the place to go for food lovers.
LocatedatLot8685,PusatBandar, Bandar Baru Permyjaya here, the recently opened restaurant serves cuisines inspired by the rich Malay culinary heritage, especially its Nasi Lemak besides western selections.
Come and savour mouthwatering Chicken Rendang, Curry Chicken, Beef Rendang, Ayam Masak Merah, Ayam Kurma, Lamb Curry, Daging Masak Hitam, Sweet and Sour Fish and an assortment of hot and spicy dishes.
According to its proprietor Sim Pong Khung, fondly referred to as Uncle Sim, customers can order several varieties like Chicken Rendang, fried chicken, curry chicken, ‘Masak Merah’ Chicken and others.
“Our cuisines are inspired by traditional Malay food and we offer you the opportunity to savour these exotic flavours,” he said.
Apart from its main dishes, diners can go ala carte such as the Roast Chicken Set, Roasted Turkey as well as chicken and beef burgers.
Satay lovers can savour its chicken and lamb satay served with ketupat rice and peanut sauce.
In the evening, the restaurant serves one of the best western foods in town comprising a wide selection of pastas, grilled lamb chop and chicken chop, steak, fish and chips, and many more.
Pizza lovers can order Smoked Duck Pizza, Sambal Satay Pizza and Classic Pizza.
For beverages, the restaurant serves a selection of Italian coffees like Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha and Expresso as well as other hot and cold drinks.
The restaurant is the first in Miri to use Latte Art, expressed as a portrait floating on the creamy surface of a cup of coffee.
My Kafe opens daily with Malay cuisine available from 10am to 5pm while western selection from 5pm to 10pm.
The restaurant also caters to private parties and functions, and provides outside catering services.
