Fajar International College to participate in upcoming Mitraf 17

MIRI: Fajar International College ( FIC) will participate in the 17th edition of Miri Trade Fair ( Mitraf 17) organised by See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd and to be held at Permaisuri Imperial City Mall and The Imperial Mall from Jan 11 to 14.

The college will be setting up a booth to make it convenient for local students to make enquiries on courses or register on-the-spot for the January intake.

Students should bring along relevant documents like SPM results and IC for on-the- spot enrolment, registration fee waive.

FIC is the first in the region to offer Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health ( DipOSH), the only one in the region recognised and approved by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Malaysia ( DOSH) and Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, United Kingdom (IOSH-UK) at the same time, besides being fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency ( MQA).

FIC’s DipOSH graduates, upon gaining three years of working experience, can apply for the Green Book from DOSH, and simultaneously register as Safety and Health Officers ( SHOs) for international recognition.

For students wishing to continue their studies to degree level, FIC has advanced standing with Middlesex University, London in the UK. This arrangement opens the pathway to the final year degree programme which is equivalent to substantial savings in cost and time.

Fajar International College also offers other diploma programmes including Diploma in Accountancy ( DIA), which is to- date the only college Diploma in Accountancy fully accredited by MQA and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education ( MoHE), making it one of the most sought after accounting qualification locally.

FIC’s DIA is a fast-track reputable programme only found in this region. Its unique programme enables students to get two different qualifications or academic awards upon completion of the Diploma, ie Diploma in Accountancy from FIC, while being prepared to sit for the Certified Accounting Technician ( CAT) from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK.

Other exciting programmes are Diploma in Business Studies and Diploma in Human Resource Management – approved by MoHE and accredited by MQA.
