KCGCCI to hold talk on government incentives Jan 20

KUCHING: Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce & Industry ( KCGCCI) is organising a talk entitled ‘ Updates & Incentives on MIDF Government Financial Assistance Programmes’ to be held on at Level 4, Wisma Chinese Chambers, Jalan Bukit Mata Kuching at 10am on Jan 20.

The talk is an initiative by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) for KCGCCI members and any interested individual­s from the business sector.

In the press statement yesterday, KCGCCI said that in order to benefit its members, the talk on fi nancial assistance programmes available for the manufactur­ing and service sectors in Malaysia, will be conducted in Mandarin.

The statement further revealed that the government supports the developmen­t of entreprene­urs in the country by offering financial assistance to small and medium businesses and programmes to prepare such businesses to be competitiv­e in both local and global markets.

The speaker for the talk is Philip Chan Hong Lih, Account Manager for Developmen­t Finance Division of MIDF Kuala Lumpur.

He will brief the audience on the background, roles and financial products of MIDF, government scheme funds managed by MIDF, documents required for applicatio­n, the reason to approach MIDF instead of other commercial banks, etc.

The talk is ideal for those in the manufactur­ing or service related industry such as transport, shipping, forwarding, trading and profession­al consultanc­y services.
