5-Star MyQuest ranking for Fajar’s DipOSH

-

MIRI: Fajar International College’s ( FIC) Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health ( DipOSH) recently achieved a 5Star excellent rating under the 2016/2017 MyQuest Cluster Based Category- Services rating system.

FIC CEO Dr Peter Tham said this proved the quality of the programme, which is the sole Department of Occupational Safety and Health ( Dosh) approved OSH college diploma in East Malaysia.

“The ranking is significant in showing Fajar International College’s prestige and quality as a premier provider of higher education in Miri,” said Tham.

“The achievement also gives confidence to parents, students and employers that there is no compromise in providing quality education at the college, especially in OSH.”

Tham said students intending to go into this field should ensure their programme is Dosh approved so that they are eligible for the Green Book, and can achieve their goal to be a registered safety and health officer.

The diploma has also secured accreditation and official recognition from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, United Kingdom (IOSH-UK), confirming that it has been duly assessed and complies with global academic requirements on OSH, he added.

For students wishing to continue their studies to degree level, FIC has a standing arrangement with Middlesex University UK, where students can complete their final year in London.

FIC has produced more than 2,000 OSH graduates since the programme started in 2006, and a good number have successfully gotten their Green Book.

The new academic session is now open for enrolment.
