Bus companies mark 60th anniversary with special promo fares

SIBU: In conjunction with their 60th anniversary, Lanang Road Bus Co Bhd and Rejang Transport Sdn Bhd are offering special promotional bus fares on Mondays to Thursdays from today (Jan 15) until Feb 15.

Speaking at a press conference here yesterday, Lanang Road Bus Co Bhd managing director Wong Tung Ping said they are very thankful to the public for their support all these years.

“As part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR), we will be offering promotional prices on our bus fares from Jan 15 till Feb 15 from Mondays to Thursdays only.

Wong said the promotional one-way fare for Sibu/ Bintulu is RM15 and likewise, it is RM15 from Bintulu to Sibu (one-way). The actual fare for one-way travel is RM25.

The one-way promotional fare from Sibu to Miri is RM35 and likewise it is RM35 from Miri to Sibu (one-way) compared to the regular fare of RM50.

For travel between Miri and Bintulu, the one-way fare is RM15 on promotional both ways as opposed to the regular fare of RM25 per way.

“We may extend the promotional period if there is good response from the public,” Wong asserted.

Directors Lau Khing Seng and Raymond Lau were also present.
