CATS FM heads to Sibu tomorrow for ‘Say No to Plastic Bags’ campaign

-

KUCHING: CATS FM will be in Sibu this weekend to support the Sibu Municipal Council ( SMC)’s ‘Say NO to Plastic Bags’ awareness campaign.

The event takes place tomorrow (Jan 20) at Wisma Sanyan from 1pm to 5pm, with CATS FM organising games sessions and performances by local artistes, The Family Man and Eyqa Saiful.

Antap Breakfast presenters Adi and Ardin will team up with Rentak Ruai presenter Ijau in joining the people of Sibu to say ‘no’ to plastic bags.

CATS FM marketing manager Alvin Justin said Sibu is the first location outside Kuching for the radio station to carry out their activities this year.

“Sibu is one of our listenership’s strongholds and this event also offers an opportunity for us to meet up with our Sibu listeners as well as the local business community.

“We are happy to be able to work with SMC, our gateway to forge better partnerships with the locals in central Sarawak,” he said.

The main highlight of the day will be a goal-post target activity called ‘Cabaran Bola CATS’ which is open to the public. The game requires participants to kick a ‘ ball’ into a circle at the goal post.

Registration is open to the Sibu public via CATS FM’s Facebook and walk-in during the day at the CATS FM booth.

Interested parties are required to register themselves early as participation is limited. Winners will receive cash prizes of up to RM2,000.

SMC’s ‘Say NO to Plastic Bags’ campaign is to promote green living and help protect Sibu’s natural environment, with members of the public encouraged to bring their own bags when shopping.
