Emart Supermarket entices shoppers with CNY offers
MIRI: With Chinese New Year less than a month away, Emart Supermarket at Emart Riam One- Stop Shopping Mall ( Emart Riam) is giving special offers for those who will be celebrating this auspicious occasion.
The supermarket is now packed with Chinese New Year stocks for everyone to shop and buy the things needed for the festival.
As a tradition for the Lunar new year, the celebration is not complete without Lo Kam or Mandarin oranges. The supermarket now offers these traditional fruits at one of the lowest prices in Miri, where a 4- kg box is priced from only RM19.88. The oranges are also sold at RM4.88 per kilo.
Hampers are items commonly on sale during festive seasons. With prices from as low as RM35 to RM118, they contain cookies, biscuits, sweets, cakes, beverages and other food items.
“We have stocked up a full range of Chinese New Year goodies especially for this festive season,” said its operation executive Charles Sii.
Food and beverages are utmost necessities for every household during festive occasion. Emart Supermarket now offers Chinese New Year delicacies like biscuits, cookies, candies and cakes that come in containers. There are also dried barbecued squids and fish snacks. Traditional delicacies like dried pork jerky, pork floss and Chinese sausages are also available at the supermarket. A 10 per cent discount will be given to Emart card members who purchase the Loong Kee dried meat products.
Fresh imported fruits and vegetables such as cabbages, carrots, broccoli, green and red apples, oranges and many others are also available. Rice is one of the most important necessities in every household. The supermarket has also stocked up a variety of both local and imported rice ( such as Thai fragrant rice) for this festive season.
The supermarket also has a wellstocked supply of canned drinks and many come in special Chinese New Year edition labels.
Furthermore, Emart card members could also participate in its ‘CNY Ong Ong’ lucky draw where the first prize winner could walk home with RM1,888 cash voucher while the second, third and consolation prize winners ( five winners) will receive RM1,388, RM888 and RM388 cash vouchers respectively.
The contest period is from Jan 19 till Feb 15, 2018 and customers who purchase RM88 and above will be eligible to participate.
In addition, they can also participate in the ‘CNY Angpow Counting Contest,’ in which customers only need to accurately predict the number of angpows decorated on the huge pineapple replica at the shopping mall where prizes comprising of cash vouchers worth RM888, RM688 and RM388 are to be won.
Social media users could also join in the ‘CNY Facebook Snap & Win contest’, where they only need to snap photos of themselves in front of the pineapple replica and the top three photos which receive the most ‘ likes’ will win cash vouchers. Participation of this contest is free of charge.
