RM12 million will be for works on the GK roundabout and RM1 million for Tudan Desaras’s road upgrading project.”

Ting said after visiting a poor family at Piasau Utara here.

On behalf of the people in the city, he thanked the federal government for approving the two projects.

“The government is now working out the details for the two projects. Like the others in the city, I’m also hoping that the implementation of the two projects can commence soon.”

He revealed that the approval was the result of the official working visit by Tan Sri Ahmad Zaki to the city in October last year to see for himself the the infrastructure which had been submitted by the respective YBs for Sarawak and Sabah for upgrading.

The ICU which is under the Prime Minister’s Department had been tasked to study the applications for infrastructure upgrading.
