Derek, Limited Legacy rule Megalanes Sarawak
KUCHING: Limited Legacy were crowned as the champion of the Tay Motors 175 & Below Foursome League after eight competitive weeks of bowling at Megalanes Sarawak, E- Mart Batu Kawa.
They also registered the biggest win during the Position Round matches where they defeated Only Eight 18- 2.
That defeat did not have any bearing on the final standings as Only Eight remained in second place with a slight margin of 0.77 Peterson points over thirdplaced Lucky.
PBA Ace, who were in third place going into the Position Round matches, had to settle for fourth placing after succumbing to a 8- 12 loss to Lucky.
Fifth- placed Limited Bowlers also finished their league campaign on a positive note following a 13- 7 victory against 77United Bowlers who finished in sixth position.
GBUZZ’S and Hardcore settled for a 10- 10 draw to finish in seventh and eighth place respectively.
Limited Legacy earned more honours when they secured the Team High Game and Team High Series awards with scores of 793 pins and 2,262 pins respectively.
Their bowler Derek Law pipped Nazri Usop of Only Eight for the Individual High Game award after he managed a 253- game during the Position Round.
Derek also grabbed the Individual High Series award ahead of Marcos Chang from PBA Ace with his effort of 659 pins.
Hardcore came in second for the Team High Game award while Only Eight managed second place for the Team High Series award.
Bowlers will now proceed to compete in this league’s MiniMasters event next Tuesday night ( Jan 23) which also coincides with the prize- giving ceremony for the winners.
The new season will begin one week after the Mini- Masters event whereby the format will be reverted to trios league.
