‘JKKK a link between village, govt’
SRI AMAN: Village security and development committee (JKKK) heads must have proper administration and management skills in order for their respective committee to become self-reliant, productive and progressive.
Bukit Begunan assemblyman Datuk Mong Dagang said efficient leadership and organisational management are key factors in enhancing the development of a village in a more progressive and structural manner.
“The JKKK institution is the focal point when connecting and discussing with the government on projects and assistance.
“The leaders must have leadership skills to guide and develop the village folks, and they should mirror the heart and voices of the village community while setting aside their own personal interests,” he said.
Mong made the remarks at a leader-with-the-people session at Rumah Connie in Panggau, Sri Aman yesterday.
