Auspicious Canine Year CNY Bazaar to be held for 23 days
KUCHING: Boulevard Shopping Mall Kuching will hold a 23- day ‘ The Auspicious Canine Year’ Chinese New Year Bazaar 2018 at Boulevard Shopping Mall, Ground Floor (New Wing) from Jan 25-Feb 14, 2018.
The Chinese New Year Bazaar extravaganza is held to welcome the Year of the Dog in the Lunar Calendar and will open to shoppers from 10am to 9.30pm daily during that period.
In its press statement yesterday, Boulevard Shopping Mall Kuching said the Chinese New Year Bazaar will consist of more than 15 booths selling Chinese New Year related products such as Tupperware, Bak Kwa, cake and cookies, hampers, handicrafts, flowers and many more goodies to usher in the Chinese New Year.
The statement said among the participants are Tupperware Brands, New Eastern Trading, Loong Kee, Bee Cheng Hiang, Laver Season, AY Homemade Bakery, Ee Wan, Old Street Enterprise, TAKA Cake House, Luminous Hamper, Anna Handmade Studio, Royal Hamper, Eu Yan Sang, Goodies Selection Shop, Lily Floral and Gift, Gratitude Hampers, Yong On Confectionery & Bakery, and RB Hamper & Gift.
It also stated that ‘ The Auspicious Canine Year’ Chinese New Year Bazaar will be officially launched at 1pm on Jan 27 followed by Northern Lion and Southern Lion performance.
To enliven the event, Boulevard Shopping Mall Kuching will present a series of Chinese New Year themed programmes and activities to make the festive celebration more memorable and meaningful.

Jan 27: Event launching (1pm) followed by the Northern Lion & Southern Lion Dance Chinese Martial Art Association Kuching performance at the Stage, Ground Floor, New Wing and Chinese Orchestra Performance Kenwy Music & Arts Academy Stage, Ground Floor, New Wing at the Stage, Ground Floor, New Wing (8pm).
Jan 28: Chinese New Year Magic Performance Edward Lai Comedy and Close-Up Magician at the Stage, Ground Floor, New Wing (2pm).
Feb 3: Fai Chun Contest (1pm- 5pm) at the Atrium, Ground Floor, New Wing; Fai Chun Assemble Kuching Chung Hua Arts Association at Atrium, Ground Floor, New Wing (7pm- 9pm).
Feb 4: Fai Chun Assemble Kuching Chung Hua Arts Association at the Atrium, Ground Floor, New Wing (10am – 3.30pm) and Traditional Dance & Singing Performance SJK(C) Sam Hap Hin ( 8pm) at the Stage, Ground Floor, New Wing.
Feb 9: Traditional Dance Performance SJK (C) Chung Hua Batu 4 ½ at the Stage, Ground Floor, New Wing ( 8pm).
Feb 10: Boulevard 10th Anniversary Shop, Draw & Win ceremony at the Atrium, Ground Floor, New Wing ( 6pm) and 24 Festival Drums SMK Arang Road at the Stage, Ground Floor, New Wing Year’ ( 8pm).
Feb 11: Dragon Dance & Wushu performance Chinese Martial Art Association Kuching at the stage, Ground Floor, New Wing ( 2pm) and Chinese Orchestra Performance Kenwy Music & Arts Academy at the stage, Ground Floor, New Wing ( 8pm).
Feb 16: First day of Chinese New Year — Southern Lion Dance Chinese Martial Art Association Kuching at the stage, Ground Floor, New Wing (2.30pm).
Boulevard Shopping Mall will also be giving away exquisite pure gold pendants worth a total RM10,000 for the buy-andwin contest and there will be a limited edition of ‘Ang Pow’ for shoppers during the CNY bazaar.
Shoppers who spend RM50 in a single purchase at the bazaar will be given one coupon as ‘Ang Pow’ redemption ticket and entry form for the buy- andwin contest.
The statement further said there are more interesting games and contests for shoppers to join throughout the Chinese New Year Bazaar — Doggy Paws Hunting fun game, Fai Chun contest and ‘ The Auspicious Canine Year’ Photography Contest.
All winners will receive attractive prizes.
