-

MIRI: The Leo Club of Riam Road Secondary School ( RRSS) has bought two projectors worth RM2,680 for the school using funds it raised recently.

According to the club’s president Wong Qin Yee, the fund was raised through RRSS Leo Club’s recent charity food fair which received overwhelming support from members of the public here.

“We are happy that we are able to contribute our little effort to our school and that the two projectors would play an important part of the digital transformation in our education’s system,” she said.

Meanwhile, chief executive officer Dato Dr Fong Onn Min revealed that RRSS has been working in phases to digitalise the school’s teaching method.

“At the moment, RRSS has already installed Unifi service offered by Telekom Malaysia. The high speed online service enables teachers and students to easily access the internet and obtain necessary information in their learning process.

“We are preparing ourselves as well as the students to welcome the digital transformation in the education system,” he said, adding that the transformation involves a lot of monetary investment to replace the existing equipment and teaching tools.

Fong lauded members of the school’s Leo Club for their effort in assisting their school.
