KUCHING: Sarawak’s boldest campaign in business events ‘ Redefining Global Tribes’ ( RGT) , once again made a favourable impression to over 400 associations’ executives at the Associations World Congress (AWC) held in the Belgian port city, Antwerp, last week.

Following its debut last year, the RGT aims to unite global communities for a stronger busines s event s ident i ty. It cont r ibuted to Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) winning the ‘ Brand Laureate Industry Champion Icon Brand Icon 2017’.

According to SCB chief operating officer Amelia Roziman, the AWC’s exponential quality network is the perfect platform for a campaign such as RGT.

“This campaign is more than just marketing our destination – it is an active pursuit of matching objectives, meeting business needs and in turn, co-building a global tribe within the world of business events,” she said in a press statement.

Taking place at the newlyexpanded Flanders Meeting and Convention Centre Antwerp – uniquely located inside a zoo – AWC 2018 is touted as the largest conference for associations’ executives in Europe.

“It has been a tremendous experience at AWC. We look forward to creating more allies, hoping to gather them at our landmark events in Sarawak in the very near future,” said Amelia.

The RGT will be advancing to Germany for IMEX Frankfurt 2018 – the landmark exhibition for global experts within the incentives, travel, meetings and events industry – this May.

Thi s move signi f ies the campaign’s move towards Western Europe.
