Hannah won’t stop getting starstruck over Steven Spielberg
HANNAH John-Kamen will never stop “getting starstruck” over Steven Spielberg.
The 28-year- old actress was thrilled to star in ‘ Ready Player One’ - which was helmed by the legendary director - and recalls how she wasn’t even worried about getting the part or not because she was so excited to meet the filmmaker.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the European premiere of ‘Ready Player One’, which took place in London’s Leicester Square on Monday ( Mar 19), she said: “I think you know, when I got asked to audition for this film, that’s when I knew Steven was attached and I was just like hey whatever happens I can’t wait to see the film and then when I got it, the absolute honour of meeting him again.
“( I was like,) ‘ Hey if I don’t get this, that is fine, I have met Steven Spielberg.’ That is enough for me and I can’t wait to see the film. Then when he told me I got the part, that’s when I lost all coolness that I had. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh that’s going to be amazing.’ I don’t think you ever stop getting starstruck by Steven Spielberg.”
And Tye Sheridan found it “super exciting” working alongside the 71-year- old filmmaker.
He added: “It was super exciting. I mean my favourite films of his are his sci-fi films.
(I was like,) ‘Hey if I don’t get this, that is fine, I have met Steven Spielberg.’ That is enough for me and I can’t wait to see the film. Then when he told me I got the part, that’s when I lost all coolness that I had. Hannah John-Kamen
