Statewide roadshows promote Atlas Copco product offerings

MIRI: The KTS Trading Sdn Bhd ( KTS) Atlas Copco’s series of roadshows across the state since have been receiving overwhelmi­ng response since it kicked off in Kuching on March 3 this year.

KTS senior marketing manager (industrial products division) Ling Leong King said in all the four locations covered so far – Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri – members of the public, apart from apart from customers and invited guests, also showed keen interest in the products showcased.

“The roadshow features modern energy- saving VSD ( Variable Speed Drive) rotary screw compressor, nitrogen generator, air dryer, the proprietar­y compressed air filters and AIRnet aluminium pipes.

“Of great interest is our compressor, the first and still is the only one so far awarded with the MyHijau Mark.

“We are the first in Malaysia being given this green certificat­ion on Oct 27, 2016,” said Ling when met at the roadshow in Boulevard Mall here yesterday, where KTS sales manager (industrial products department) Michael Ting Sie Mee and the aftermarke­t executive (industrial products department) Tan Chjih Ong were also present.

Ling said in the market, the compressor being awarded the MyHijau Mark is becoming popular because of its unique feature – its ability to save energy up to 50 per cent.

“Since its introducti­on to the market, we have sold 100 units and we are very positive that it will continue to be the much sought- after product because if we base on the 76 per cent of the life cycle cost is energy, more industries would opt for such compressor as it could reduce energy cost by 50 per cent,” he pointed out.

Moreover, the compressor is entitled to Investment Tax Allowance ( ITA) relief of 100 per cent of qualifying capital expenditur­e incurred on a green technology project from the years of assessment 2013 to 2020.

MyHIJAU is Malaysia’s official green recognitio­n scheme endorsed by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, bringing together certified products and services that meet local and internatio­nal environmen­tal standards under one single mark.

Currently, KTS is the sole distributo­r of Atlas Copco for 35 years in East Malaysia.

On the roadshow, Ling said it was the first time that it took a form of a truck in East Malaysia, aimed at increasing brand awareness and engaging with customers in person, apart from showcasing the state- of-the-art innovation­s.

He said after Miri, the roadshow would head to Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei this March 22, Kota Kinabalu ( March 26-27) and Sandakan ( March 29).
